An 8-week, small-group programThe Business of Therapy and Coaching
For therapists and coaches ready to grow their practice, reach more people, and make a bigger impact.
Don't let your own practice limit you
This course is for you if:
You're a clinician who’s great at helping your clients grow, but your own practice has been stalled in the same place
You’ve got a big idea, a new revenue stream, or a creative project that keeps not getting made
You suspect “I’m too busy” has become your cover for avoiding the bigger move
You want your practice to reach more (and earn more) without grinding harder or burning out
You’re ready to stop playing small
Most of us were trained to stay small—to hold back, keep the focus on the client, and never step into the spotlight ourselves.
But you have other ideas:
Start a newsletter
Teach a course
Host a retreat
Write your book
Share your ideas on the big stage
The reasons not to start are always in the back of your head: you don't have anything new to say, no one wants what you'd offer, no one will show up.
The cost of waiting
Put it off long enough and the pattern sets: the project you keep meaning to make never gets made, the same week repeats with diminishing returns, and the impact you could be having goes to someone else. Staying small isn't safe. It's just slower.
I know the cycle of doubt and overwork. I lived it.
To grow my own practice, I had to relearn most of what I’d absorbed about how a therapist is “supposed” to operate. I used the Wise Effort method—the framework at the heart of my book, Wise Effort: How to Focus Your Genius Energy on What Matters Most—to get out of my own way and build a practice that reaches far more people than I imagined was possible. And it earns more, which matters, and which too few of us say out loud.
Now I teach that work. This isn’t about being a “special” therapist. It’s about becoming fluent in a method that will help you move past the things that keep you stuck. By getting curious, opening up, and focusing your effort,
The Program
Over eight weeks, I’ll walk you through how to apply the Wise Effort method directly to your practice—not as theory, but as the specific moves that grow a therapy or coaching business.
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
Six live 90-minute group sessions, led by me
Asynchronous feedback between sessions — audio “ask-me-anything” memos, so you're never stuck waiting
The Business of Therapy and Coaching workbook, with the exercises and resources that guide the work
Peer feedback and encouragement from a close circle of therapists and coaches who will enthusiastically support you in reaching your goals
Twelve months of access to all recordings and materials
An option to join my ongoing exclusive Business of Therapy Alumni membership
The eight-week course
In two months, you’ll have a clear goal, a vision for your business model, a plan for the support you need, and a strategy for where your energy goes. And it won't stop at mindset. In the final week, you’ll make one real move—maybe you will launch a podcast, create an online course, raise your rates. Whatever it is, you’ll have started.

FAQ
-
No. Wise Effort meets you where you are, whether you're starting from scratch or scaling something that already exists. You'll also be in a cohort, which means built-in readers, feedback, and your first new followers from day one.
-
It depends on what kind of busy. If your schedule is full of work that genuinely fits you, this may not be the right time. But if “busy” has quietly become the way you avoid the bigger, riskier moves, that’s exactly what this program is built to address.
-
Every live session is recorded and shared with the group, so you can keep up if you miss one—but you’ll get way more out of it if you commit to participating in person.
-
Each live session is 90 minutes, plus two to three hours of your own work between sessions. Most people find they want to spend more once the momentum builds.
-
We’ll talk it through. We’ll be honest with each other, and you’ll make the choice. In my experience, applying Wise Effort to your practice pays off in both directions: less depletion and doubt, more energy and confidence. And the thing you finally build can more than cover the investment. That said, it’s not for everyone.
-
Cohorts are offered quarterly. Each one isan 8-week program, with a two-week break in the middle for focused, independent work before the second half.
