Consulting

I work with people who are good at what they do but have run into something they can’t resolve.

Therapy vs. Consulting

People often reach out to me because they are navigating something personal or professional and they’re not sure whether they need therapy or consultation. These are different kinds of relationships, and it is important to clarify the role from the beginning.

Why the Distinction Matters
Because I am a licensed psychologist, I take role clarity seriously. Therapy and consulting carry different responsibilities, boundaries, and expectations. For that reason, we will decide together at the outset which role is the best fit and keep that frame clear.

  • Therapy

Therapy is a clinical relationship focused on your emotional and psychological wellbeing. In therapy, we may work with anxiety, depression, and other areas of mental health. Therapy may include assessment and diagnosis, and assists with  your healing, functioning, and psychological flexibility.

  • Consulting

Consulting is not therapy. It is a professional advisory relationship focused on a personal or professional challenge, role, project, transition or decision. In consulting, I do not provide mental health treatment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, or crisis support. I do help you think clearly, act wisely, and align your choices with your values, strengths, and long-term goals.

  • Consultation is best if you are:

    • At a personal or professional crossroads

    • Your life is chaotic and stressful, and you need direction

    • Challenged by leadership decisions

    • Need to establish healthier habits

    • Want to level up at work, or at life in general

    • Interested in launching a new or creative project

  • As your consultant I will:

    • Hold you accountable

    • Encourage you

    • Clarify your unique genius and chosen values

    • Help you map out the topography of your challenge

    • Uncover your hidden psychological barriers

    • Guide you in practical skills to strengthen attention, navigate emotions, amplify motivation, and take flexible action when obstacles arise
